The freshly opened green garden in Budapest’s city centre takes us into the world of rainforests. The botanical garden is located in Király Street, providing exclusive design and perfect conditions for meditation.

A pleasant winter and summer can be enjoyed in the new green oasis of the Hungarian capital, where anyone can have a rest under the banana trees.

The meaningful name Twentysix represents two essential facts about the place – it reflects the perfect temperature for the local plants, along with the house number of the freshly opened relaxing place.

Twentysix welcomes its visitors in a pleasant atmosphere surrounded by 500 plants and a constant temperature of 26°C. Masterminds of the new green Paradise aimed to create a perfect combination of nature, gastronomy and the harmony of conscious existence.

The jungle can be found at an 1800 m² large territory, where 34 plant types can be admired – including banana trees, ficus, begonias and Kentia palm.

Furthermore, visitors can enjoy four public spaces as well – a Mediterranean restaurant offering fresh and healthy dishes; a delicacy shop where locally baked pastries can be tasted. In the yoga studio, guests can enjoy the balance of their body and soul all week long. The fourth square garden is a studio apartment, serving as a perfect venue for special events, culinary workshops and thematic pop up dinners in the future.

As Barbara Poisson-Angeli, the mastermind of Twentysix explained at the opening ceremony: “We believe in simplicity. We wanted to create a place where anyone can enjoy Mediterranean tastes in the vicinity of nature; can practice yoga if he/she feels like it, or can do the shopping for dinner without travelling far from the city centre.”

According to izeselet.hu, visitors of Twentysix can support the environment as well. By the consumption of the unique Plant, a Tree Cocktail, a baby tree will be planted that will bear the name of the consumer.
